Multi-phase extensions to improve and update the hospice’s facilities. First phase comprised of new single storey Learning and Professional Development Centre of steel frame construction with part steel part timber cladding, supported on foundation bases, with deep trench fill to support walls.
The second phase comprised an extension to the existing Willows Wing to enlarge the Day Therapy and Outpatients departments. This extension was of traditional load-bearing masonry construction, with deep trench fill concrete foundations.
The project also included remodelling of the existing attenuation pond to ensure compliance with Severn Trent requirements.

Our brief comprised of a full structural design including pre-cast concrete floors on load bearing masonry walls supported on traditional foundations and a 5m high king post retaining wall adjacent to existing buildings.
